Log & Deadlift Championship 2026

The Natural Strongman Log & Deadlift Worldwide Ranking brings athletes together from competitions across the globe. At each sanctioned event, athletes perform both the Log Press and the Deadlift, with their best lift in each added together for a Total.

Results are submitted to Natural Strongman and entered onto the worldwide leaderboard, where athletes are ranked by category. The leaderboard will be available to view online at all times.

At the end of each season, the top-ranked athletes will earn invitations to the Log & Deadlift World Championships, where the strongest lifters compete for world titles.

The final date for a competition to count towards qualification for the 2026 World Championships is July 5th, 2026. The Log & Deadlift World Championships will take place in November 2026.

Even if an athlete does not intend to compete at Worlds, they are encouraged to take part — every lift contributes to the worldwide rankings and showcases their standing on the global stage.

How the Competition Works

  • Each athlete competes in both the Log Press and Deadlift.

  • Athletes get 3 attempts on each log and deadlift.

  • Log will alway be the first event of the competition, followed by deadlift.

  • The competition can be done in a round system(powerlifting style) or rising bar, this is at the promoters discretion.

  • The best Log Press and the best Deadlift are added together to form the athlete’s Total.

  • The athlete with the highest Total in their category wins.

  • In the event of a tie, the lighter athlete at weigh-in is the winner.

  • If you Zero(fail to make a lift) on log or deadlift, you will still be given a total for the best lift you got on the other implement.
